The Mound Chinese New Year Celebration  

Special cultural event with the theme of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, including lion and dragon dance, Celebrating lantern and fan dance, Chinese folk music, children's dance, Chinese calligraphy and audience interaction, red envelope games and Ceilidh. There will be a commentary of the event explaining the traditions, history and meaning. Audience will gain first-hand experience and learn about a different culture.

The event is free and open to the public,  event showcases Chinese culture and art through unique creative forms of cultural performances and interactive audience participation, allowing citizens to experience the integration and openness of Edinburgh's multi-ethnic cultures, and inclusiveness and its diversity.
